When they split up last year he ended up having to check himself into rehab because he was so heartbroken. However, Dougie Poynter and Frankie Sandford were today spotted heading for a reunion in London. But their respective partners needn't worry, as the pair were simply joining forces for a good cause, taking part in a photoshoot for Sport Relief.   Wearing one of his trademark headbands with his rock-star hair tussled in the wind he tried to avoid eye contact and kept looking straight ahead. The 24-year-old was wearing a worn look black leather jacket with a jumper and jeans and he was also carrying another outfit in a suit bag. Shortly after Frankie, 23, turned up and looked great in a short grey dress which she accessorised with a leopard print scarf and a large black handbag.   She was also wearing a leather jacket but kept her eyes hidden behind a massive pair of sunglasses. The former couple were not alone during the reunion as some of their bandmates also turned up. Una Healy arrived carrying a huge Louis Vuitton bag and wearing a light, white blouse. She was followed by Strictly Come Dancing champion Harry Judd who had taken time out of his tour to make an appearance.   The last person to arrive was The Saturdays Mollie King who turned up fashionably late in a Burberry coat, leather shorts, and a big brown scarf. The blonde 24-year-old struggled to walk straight in the wind and almost lost her fedora in the strong breeze.   The group were meeting for a photo shoot in aid of Sport Relief as Una tweeted earlier today: 'Shoot for Sports Relief today with all my @TheSaturdays girls! :).' If The Saturdays and McFly are to share the spotlight in a glamorous shoot there may be some awkward tension after the lads made no secret of their dislike of Frankie last year.  What do you get the girl that has everything? A wholly unnecessary car that costs the same amount as a medium sized family home of course. Well, that’s what Wayne Bridge figured in the run up to girlfriend Frankie Sandford’s birthday, spending 135 thousand quid on a vintage Aston Martin for The Saturdays singer. We didn’t realise that 23 was a particularly significant birthday, but Wayne wanted to get his girlfriend something extra special after the pair celebrated their one year anniversary last month. Frankie was snapped showing off her new wheels in London this afternoon, taking the Manchester City player for a drive through town (when you’ve got a £135k car, the congestion charge isn’t really a problem). The Saturdays have given us a big reason to celebrate girl power after omg! readers voted them the best band of 2011. With the entire female population swooning over Harry Styles and the rest of the One Direction boys, we were fairly certain the lads would win our poll hands down. However, The Saturdays pipped One D to the post, with 31% of the vote. 1st The Saturdays - 31% 2nd One Direction - 29% 3rd JLS - 15% 4th Take That - 14% 5th The Wanted - 11% After the gorgeous girls won the poll, we got thinking about the reasons why we love them... 1. Their look There's no denying that Frankie, Mollie, Una, Vanessa and Rochelle always look uh mayzing. Any time they step out - whether it's to the shops in Ugg boots and an oversized handbag, or on stage in glitzy dresses - they give us serious wardrobe envy.  2. Their music Each single The Sats release has HIT stamped all over it. From debut single to If This is Love, to the feel-good anthem Higher, to the emosh My Heart Takes Over, any time the girls are played we're on our feet and getting our groove on.  3. Their men The Saturdays' love-lives are as glamorous and exciting as the girls themselves. Not only are the boyfriends drop dead gorgeous, but the end of 2011 brought exciting news for the girls on the romance front. Una Healy and Ben Foden announced that they were expecting their first child together before Ben got down on one knee and proposed.  Rochelle Wiseman and JLS beau Marvin Humes followed suit with the pair getting engaged on holiday at Christmas.  Mollie King has bagged The World's Sexiest Man in the shape of model David Gandy who recently gushed that they'd be together for the 'next 40 years,' and Frankie Sandford once dated Dougie Poynter before moving on to footballer Wayne Bridge. And repping the single girls, Vanessa White spends a lot of her free time partying hard. The All Fired Up Tour was filmed yesterday in Manchester so is believed to be released on DVD. The M.E.N. Arena, where the concert was filmed, has a capacity of 23.000 people and the The Saturdays show was sold out.  The set list of the tour: 1. Notorious 2. Work 3. Get Ready, Get Set 4. The Saturdays' Frankie Sandford has said she feels "really happy" at the moment. The singer returned to the group recently following a two-month break and is currently taking part in the group's 'All Fired Up' UK tour. Speaking to Capital FM's Showbiz reporter Kevin Hughes, Frankie said she was grateful for all the support fans had shown her. "Thank you very much, yeah. I feel really happy at the moment and I'm really glad the tour is going the way we wanted," she said. The Saturdays were among the artists who performed at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball last weekend. Frankie, Mollie, Una, Vanessa and Rochelle delighted fans at the O2 Arena in London with a hit-laden set, which included the single 'Notorious'. Source: CapitalFM.com |
